Christ Church Vision: Bringing Jesus into the heart of the Community

Dear Friends

We pray every morning 9am and evening 7.30pm; there is also Ecumenical prayers 8pm on Thursdays and 8.15am on Friday. You are welcome to join us in the vicarage garden / church hall with social distancing. Please continue to join us in the on-line for Mass on the 14th Sunday after Trinity. There is also Mass at 2pm on Thursdays.
This Sunday at Christ Church we are continuing with the new style of services and a midweek Mass so do come and join us. May we continue to pray for families in need of our prayers, especially Bev’s sister Patricia, touch her Lord with your healing love.
Today in our Gospel reading we are reminded that our Lord Jesus came to set people free, to release from the dungeon those who sit in darkness. God says ‘Come all who are thirsty, come to the water,’ Is 55. God will give us power through his Holy Spirit to forgive, when we cannot. As we make that first move, Jesus empowers us with his overflowing love, and gives us His strength to totally forgive. God our Redeemer says ‘I will teach you what is best for you …then your peace will be like a river.’ (Is 48: 17) When we make the decision to forgive, we experience that incredible peace which nothing in all creation can take away. Amen.
Please remember the bereaved, may God surround all their loved ones with His comfort and peace. We continue to pray for the family and friends of our brother Ali and Winston. Grant eternal rest O Lord and let light perpetual shine upon them may they rest in peace.

For those who wish to give to the Church, please phone the vicarage for bank details.

Please note: APCM has been changed it is now ON SUNDAY 18TH OCTOBER AT 11AM IN CHRIST CHURCH.

Have a blessed week!
