Christ Church Vision: Bringing Jesus into the heart of the Community

Dear Friends

May we continue to pray for each other and keep that sense of togetherness.

We are live streaming our Mass, please be patient with us as we try and incorporate readings and intercessions from those who cannot come to the services. We have one hymn at the end of the service (please text or email me your requests during the week) and any soloists would be most welcome. Today our sister Sharon debt manager for CAP (Christians Against Poverty) will be giving a talk on how churches are asking the government to create a Jubilee Fund to provide debts for the poorest.

We continue to have daily Morning Prayer 9am and Evening Prayer 7.30pm. Additionally, Ecumenical prayers 8pm on Thursdays and 8.00 am on Fridays. You are welcome to join us in the church with social distancing. There is also Mass at 2pm on Thursdays.

We continue to hold in our prayer all families in need of prayers – particularly, Bev’s sister Patricia, that the Lord will minister His love and healing.

We remember all those who mourn loved ones, especially our sister Pearl and her family (Pearl’s nephew David aged 56 and her cousin Leonie died within a week of each other) and also Lloyd’s friend Uria Barnett. We continue to remember Father Tony who mourns the loss of his aunt Brenda. May God hold them all in His everlasting arms. Grant eternal rest O Lord and let light perpetual shine upon them may they rest in peace.

Have a blessed week!

Almighty and everlasting God,
increase in us your gift of faith
that, forsaking what lies behind
and reaching out to that which is before,
we may run the way of your commandments
and win the crown of everlasting joy;
through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord
who is alive and reigns with you,
In the unity of the Holy Spirit,
One God now and forever.
