Christ Church Vision: Bringing Jesus into the heart of the Community

Dear Friends

May we continue to pray for each other and keep that sense of togetherness. In Today’s Gospel reading people are trying to trap Jesus and His reply to them is ‘Give back to Caesar what belongs to Caesar and to God what belongs to God.’ What exactly is God’s? Well, everything we have is His. We are made in the image of God in His holiness and righteousness – His likeness is imprinted on our hearts and we are empowered by His Holy Spirit to do good works and show mercy in serving Him. What a great privilege!

We are live streaming our Mass, please be patient with us as we try and incorporate readings and intercessions from those who cannot come to the services. We have one hymn at the end of the service (please text or email me your requests during the week) and any soloists would be most welcome. Today we have our APCM meeting so please do join us after the morning Mass 11am. Next Sunday we are celebrating HARVEST.
We continue to have daily Morning Prayer 9am and Evening Prayer 7.30pm. Additionally, Ecumenical prayers 8pm on Thursdays and 8.00 am on Fridays. You are welcome to join us in the church with social distancing. There is also Mass at 2pm on Thursdays.
We continue to hold in our prayer all families in need of prayers – particularly, Bev’s sister Patricia, that the Lord will minister His love and healing.
We remember all those who mourn loved ones, especially our sister Pearl’s family (Pearl’s nephew David aged 56 and her cousin Leonie died within a week of each other) and also Lloyd’s friend Uria Barnett. May God hold them all in His everlasting arms. Grant eternal rest O Lord and let light perpetual shine upon them may they rest in peace.
