Christ Church Vision: Bringing Jesus into the heart of the Community
Message from your Parish Priest

Hopefully, you have received a Palm Cross for the Service. Today is Palm Sunday and this triumphal entry is in all four Gospels. The Son of God came riding on a donkey and the people went wild. As Jesus entered the city, there was a great sound of rejoicing; the people from all around Jerusalem gathered into a huge crowd and they shouted, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord.’
There was no other good enough to pay the price of sin. He is the King, if we are to be made whole, we must give our lives to him. The Holy Spirit came to complete the work on earth to help us experience more of the Holy Spirit. Jesus is our Christ, the blessed Saviour, our Redeemer. On this Palm Sunday, whether we receive spiritually or physically at the table of Holy Communion, may God give us grace to really know Jesus better, and to serve him with love. Amen
We remember all those who mourn loved ones especially our sister Dainey and her family and our sister Pauline. We have lit a candle in church and we pray ‘Grant eternal rest O Lord and let light perpetual shine upon them. May they rest in peace.’ The church is open for prayers. Please also keep in your prayers Bev’s Sister Patricia, her cousin Jean & Jean’s husband Richard, also Pearl’s husband Mitford, Edna and Rose that they may all know God’s healing touch.
A reminder that each day we have Morning Prayer at 9am.

During the pandemic we have seen quite a drop in ‘Giving.’ That is understandable as people have not been able to get to church. Nevertheless, the bills keep coming in and you may wish to bring your offerings to church or pay on-line, here are the details:
Account Name: Christ Church, West Green with St Peter
Sort code: 089299
Account Number: 65156465

We very much appreciate this. I’m not asking you to give more than you can afford. But as St Paul says ‘God loves a cheerful giver.

Have a Blessed week

Almighty and everlasting God
Who in your tender love towards the human race
Sent your Son our Saviour Jesus Christ
To take upon Him our flesh
And to suffer upon the cross
Grant that we may follow the example
Of His patience and humility
And also be made partakers of his resurrection:
Through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord,
Who is alive and reigns with you
In the unity of the Holy Spirit
One God, now and forever.
