Bulletin for Third Sunday of Easter 18. 4. 2021
Christ Church Vision: Bringing Jesus into the heart of the Community
Message from your Parish Priest
The Gospel for today recounts the events of that first Sunday evening after the crucifixion, when Jesus was suddenly there in person among His terrified disciples, putting their fears to rest, directing them to tell people they can be forgiven and forgiving them in the name of the risen Christ. Of all the things Jesus might have said to His disciples on these brief encounters from life beyond death, why does He focus on repentance and forgiveness?
God’s desire is to tear down the barrier of sin between Him and His people and Jesus passes onto His disciples the urgent work of tearing down that barrier wherever it exists, in every person all the time so we may experience new life! Experiencing Jesus in our hearts so that they burn with love and excitement is what leads us into the divine.
Let us remember all those who mourn loved ones especially our sisters Bev, Dainey, Pauline, and Corinth. The church is open for prayers. Please also keep in your prayers Bev’s Sister Patricia, her cousin Richard, also Pearl’s husband Mitford, Edna and Rose that they may all know God’s healing presence.
During the pandemic we have seen quite a drop in ‘Giving.’ There are different ways in giving: Planned giving envelopes (please collect them from Olyve Johnson – Stewardship Officer); pay through Christ Church website or you may wish to pay on-line, here are the details:

Collect for the 3rd Sunday of Easter 18.4.2021
who in your great mercy gladdened the disciples
with the sight of the risen Lord;
give us such knowledge of His presence with us,
that we may be strengthened and sustained
by His risen life
and serve you continually in righteousness and truth;
through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord
who is alive and reigns with you;
in the unity of the Holy Spirit
One God, now and forever. Amen
